A walking tour through the cultural and natural beauty of Sicily.
Day 1
We will pick you up at Palermo airport when you arrive and meet in the hotel lobby at 3 for a walking tour of Palermo.Baroque churches, Arab Norman worshipping buildings, the opera house, the street markets is our first taste of Sicily.

Day 2
In the morning after more Palermo discovery we will go to the nearby Monreale Cathedral, a Unesco site and the most stunning treasure left us by the Norman conquerors in 1170:15000 square meters of golden mosaics !
In the afternoon we will walk in the peaceful Jato Valley before returning to Palermo.

Day 3
A 70 minutes van ride will take us to Segesta, vineyards and olive fields, extensive wheat fields surround this ancient town with its 3rd century bc city center and theater and its mystic 5th century bc temple solemny saluting us. After lunchwe will continue to the coastal town of Trapani. Later i the day we will go to the Salt museum and the salines.

Day 4
Today is finally our chance to walk by the azure Thyrrenean sea in the first created natural reserve in Sicily: Zingaro. Our walk will take us up and down coastal trails and ending with a picnic on the pebbles beach with arancini and wine and a chance for a swim.
Along the trail we will visit the small museums of the Sicilian traditional farmers life and the tuna fishing techniques going back to the Arab times.

Day 5
Today is dedicated to reliving and experiencing the great Greek colonial times with the visits of Selinunte where we will walk by Greek temples,colossal fallen columns, and impressive defensive walls dating back to the 5th century b.c.
After lunch in a restaurant by the beach (and a walk by the Torre Salsa reserve?) we will check in our hotel with a sunset stroll by the perfectly preserved Concordia Temple in Agrigento.

Day 6
A morning drive will take us to the Unesco Imperial Villa del Casale with the most vivid and colorful Roman mosaics reflecting the lifestyle and the cultural and family pillars of the Roman civilization.
After a varied and colorful lunch full of sicilian antipastos and grilled meats we will set on a beautiful walk in the forests of Mount Ganzaria with an interesting archeological byzantine church and necropolis remains and wide views of the clay rich wheat fields of Caltagirone the capital of sicilian ceramics and the famous teste di moro. A 90 minute drive will transfer us to Siracusa.

Day 7
Today we will explore Siracusa its beautiful fish and fresh vegetables market the temple turned in a cathedral and its awesome still used greek theater one of the largest remaining before driving for lunch to Noto a Unesco Baroque gem, where we will walk in Vendicari reserve or a by the ruins of Noto Antica the town destroyed by the 1693 earthquake.

Day 8
Little more Siracusa if needed, then Pantalica with picnic or Sacre Pietre, then transfer in beautiful Etna relais/agriturismo.

Day 9
Etna!! with nice walks options to go to the top, afternoon winery and celebrative dinner, if weather i s really bad Taormina, Alcantara and Catania options
